Quick announcement.
Until recently, I’ve been adding and sharing the labs in the Cloud Experiments series using the blog’s main code samples repository. There’s a bunch of other interesting stuff there—like the Pandas labs and the code for the deep learning series—so it’s still worth checking out from time to time.
In less than two weeks, I’ll be starting another uni course (CS 6601), so chances are I won’t be able to post with the frequency of the last few weeks for a while. That made me realize that I really, really like writing these little labs and teaching about cloud computing, and it’s probably something I want to do for a very long time.
Because of this, I decided to put the previous cloud experiments (and all new ones) in their own repository. So without much more delay, here’s the repo:
Amazing Magical New Cloud Experiments Repository
There’s still a very long way to go. My goal is to pack this repository full of interesting experiments and hopefully share some larger-scale labs in the future. Until now, I’ve been focusing on building small-to-medium sized solutions with a bigger focus on making them as didactic as possible (larger projects are often not ideal for teaching specific concepts), but I think there are a lot of opportunities to explore areas like resilient architectures, complete end-to-end pipelines, and larger cloud-native/serverless systems.
I’ll be quite busy over the next few months, but keep an eye open for new content in that repo. You can even become a watcher and get notifications when there’s new activity there!
To everyone who has been following the Cloud Experiments series—thank you for your engagement and support. Your interest in these labs motivates me to keep creating and sharing knowledge about cloud computing.
That’s it—just a small announcement in case you’ve been following this series. Thanks for reading!
